Please tell us about yourself and the work you are currently doing in the security domain?
I am working professional with over 22 yrs of experience last 12 years in Digital Security space, I am currently co-founder and CEO of Cogent Safety and Security Pvt Ltd, Mumbai based Enterprise IoT & AI based security solution provider, Managing and Developing ARC (Alert Receiving Centre], Developing and Implementing Customised Security Solutions for large and mid-segment clients and enhancing security with AI Based features into our VMS and CCMS (Video Management Software and Command and Control Centre Management Software). We have worked with some prestigious clients and customers such as :
- SBI & Canara Bank ATM’S - 3600 ATM Remote Monitoring Service
- Signature Global Delhi - 300 towers integration into VMS platforms for over 2900 CCTV and adding AI platform to the analog camera
Ongoing:
Supriya Life science Pharma- Entire Plant from FR based access control and entire CCTV and Access control with on premise command centre Along with command centre BSNL Mobile towers: Largest order of 52000 cameras supply install, testing and commissioning, Building largest command centre in Hyderabad &Customized PTZ camera with over 7 different AI features built on camera edge board.
What are the key challenges to security of large organizations?
Utmost challenge to a large organisations is inability to follow protocols and SOPs thereby leading to security lapse. Ever increasing cost of physical security and unreliability of man guarding. However most importantly unawareness of multiple smart solutions for ease of business due to budgetary or capital investment.
What new technologies are in focus that help aid security professionals in doing their work?
Latest of the technology is the embedded systems using MQTT protocols primarily due to low bandwidth enabling camera at remote location communicate with low bandwidth usuage and having real time data. Besides this AI / ML functionality which is enhancing customer experience and reliable and near accurate alerts enabling for proactive monitoring or premises and processes defined for security.
What solutions have you implemented within your organization to alleviate the security challenges?
Our primary focus is on building a safe and secured premises management solutions using multiple interfaces.
What are your plans to enhance security of your organization going forward?
Our focus is to enhance capabilities of cameras and make them smarter, reliable but most importantly affordable to an organisation in general and make these newer technologies a norm for security and not enhancement. Other important area are Smart AI Cameras and multiple SOP based digital process.
Building state of the art command and control centre in order for companies to outsource Virtual Guarding to enhance Secuirty and have peace of mind at all times is another focus.
