Please tell us about yourself and the work you are currently doing in the security domain.
I am a visionary leader with strong technology-centric and business management skills offering over 27 years of extensive experience in strategizing / implementing / improving security systems that meet defined policies and standards for corporate security across hospitality industry. At present I am working as Director of security for The Lodhi Hotel in New Delhi.
What are the key challenges to security of large organizations?
Security experts agree that the three most important components of a physical security plan are access control, surveillance, and security testing, which work together to make space more secures but if organizations are not working on this concept they are going to face the challenges.
What new technologies are in focus that help aid security professionals in doing their work?
Physical security involves the use of multiple layers of interdependent systems that can include CCTV surveillance, security guards, protective barriers, locks, access control, perimeter intrusion detection, deterrent systems, fire protection, and other systems designed to protect persons and property.
What solutions have you implemented within your organization to alleviate the security challenges?
By implementing effective physical security measures such as access control, video surveillance, lighting, perimeter security, intrusion detection systems, alarm systems, safe storage, background checks, training, and emergency preparedness, organizational security has been enhanced.
What are your plans to enhance security of your organization going forward?
The three most important components of a physical security plan are access control, surveillance, and security testing, which work together to make your space more secure and we will be working on the same going forward to strengthen the security system.
